WHY THIS INVITATION FROM US?

To many of us in the property world, it’s become increasingly clear that the status quo in England simply has to change – given the scale of unethical practices (to avoid empty rates) and of wasted opportunities to create urban spaces that serve our communities.

That’s why, in response to the Government’s ongoing consultation, we’ve put together our own survey – to gather the voices and views from all four corners of the property world.

Thank you for participating. By doing so, you’re helping to shape a fairer business rates system that benefits communities, local councils, and ethical businesses alike.

WHAT WILL WE DO WITH YOUR RESPONSES?

Once we receive your (anonymous) answers, we’ll be consolidating all the feedback and submitting it as part of our official response to the upcoming government consultation.

This is a key opportunity to influence policy and advocate for ethical solutions in empty rates mitigation.

ANOTHER WAY TO HAVE YOUR SAY…

If you feel strongly about this issue, we also encourage you to take part directly – HM Treasury’s consultation is open to everyone.

To submit your feedback, please email: transformingbusinessrates@hmtreasury.gov.uk.

By making your voice heard, you can help shape the future of commercial property regulations.

LET’S DO IT.
